Madura Tea Branding

Madura Tea relies on a detailed painting of the Tweed Valley landscape to represent their brand's Australian origins.
While at first glance the ribbon treatment at the head and foot of the packaging appears to be in the Indigenous Australian style, it is also possible that the dot pattern relates to the Indian culture where the company got their name; Madura means "paradise" in Tamil.

The company balances the large use of black with warm maroons and yellows. The use of these earth colours, drive the feelings of growth from the soil. They also correlate with the colour of teas when brewed.

Madura has used a serif style typeface, sticking within the one font family. They have created variation by differing the point size and letter spacing. The type treatment shows that Madura wants to be viewed as traditional and honest.
They have a family oriented style that is geared towards Australian households.
